Most of the therapists who work with Tele-therapy-UK are registered practitioners with one of three professional bodies:
- The British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy
- The United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy
- Psychological Society (Health and Care Professions Council)
Many will have advanced qualifications in certain specialist areas, such as treating eating disorders or working with couples and families. However, because all of the therapists who work with Tele-therapy-UK are working under the medical supervision of a named consultant psychiatrist, we can also have specialist coaches and counsellors, some even based in other countries, who have all been specially selected on account of their extensive expertise over several years as well as their ability to work online with clients.
If they have any concerns about problems that are raised by clients they are working with, the P-UK online system allows them to refer their client on to their supervisor, also a highly trained professional, and to their medically trained psychiatry colleagues under whose medical indemnity they are working.
We take our responsibilities with regard to confidentiality particularly seriously. You can always discuss this matter with your therapist although they will raise this at the point of your first contact with them. You can be assured that all of your records are secure and confidential at all times.
